Born 2 Impress Tech Event- Ila Security Review and Giveaway

After I went back to work there were times when I would have to leave work when it is pitch black out. Safety was one of the first things that came to mind….You hear all kinds of things in the news and can’t help but to be uneasy when getting in a parking lot with no one else with you. A few weeks ago I came across a company that offered a product I thought would be great, especially for women that are in the same situation as me and have to leave work or any place for that matter all by themselves.

Ila Security was launched in 2008, as a joint collaboration with global communications agency BBH, whose clients include Audi, British Airways and Lynx/Axe. Its creation addresses what was a significant gap in the global market in the area of stylish female safety and personal security accessories.

A 2010 YouGov/Glamour magazine survey reveals that 68% of women are seriously concerned about their personal safety – and the same women also want to look stylish and fashionable. In response to this need, Ila Security provides a must-have range of accessories that are chic, feminine and versatile.
I was really interested in to see the personal alarm up closed and see if it could really be an asset for me and other women out there. ILa offers a couple of different devices that can easily be attached to your purse which makes the Ila accessible when you need it the most.

I received two different designs to try, the first item is the Ila Pebble Key ring Alarm. The Pebble is a really small and cute design that comes with either red or black and white dots. The Pebble is activated by the push of a button that makes a loud noise that resembles a lot of car alarms. I really like the design and the compact size of the product that makes this really convenient and can definitely replace or be added to your current key chain.

The other item I had the chance to review and I must add that it was my favorite of the two is the Dusk. The Dusk is bigger in size and has a different design, while the pebble is shaped like an oval, the Dusk has a kind of rectangular shape. The prints are also different and you find more variety than the pebble, but what makes this my favorite is actually the type of noise it makes…Which is like a really loud scream which can for sure not only scare some unpleasant people, but also attract attention to you in case you need it. One major difference between the two devices is that while the pebble is activated with the push of a button, the Dusk has a small chain that you pull in order to set up the alarm and just need to push it back in to the Dusk body. I think this is just a great little personal security device. Both designs are very fashionable and do not look like an alarm at all. I have attached my dusk to my purse and take it everywhere I go. ….I am certainly very happy that I have found Ila!
